Subdomain and the main domain will share reputation.

@Cathy_Patalas:disqus , great article and lots of good insights. Thanks for sharing! Just wondering what your take is on email aliases within one Google account. There is not much info out there if an alias inherits a bad reputation from the main domain or the other way around. What do you think?

Therefore, why we need a new domain if we can use “hosting from providers like Gmail, Yahoo, etc. — you can be assigned a different IP each time you send an email” on an old domain?

It’s cloud-based email archiving, managed by them, so we don’t have to set up any separate mailboxes or manage anything, they do it all for us. The price is right, too: for small-to-medium size business, I really don’t see how managing it myself could save any money or time.

As per Salesforce, 95% of consumers use email, 61% of emails are opened on smart devices. Creating a separate mailbox is a tremendous idea to keep your mail domain away from spam marking. Thanks, Cathy for sharing the useful information.

@billytarter:disqus , I’ve been redirecting the domain but avoiding any spoofing in the email itself. I think that’s likely the safest bet..
